Parts Box Inc. Warranty Agreement
This document outlines the terms and conditions for the warranty coverage provided by Parts Box Inc. By purchasing and using parts under this warranty, you agree to the terms below.
Free Coverage:
- 90-Day Parts-Only Warranty
- Covers defective materials or workmanship on all parts (excluding tires).
- Limited to replacing the defective part with an equivalent component.
Extended Coverage Options:
- One-Year Unlimited Mile Parts-Only Warranty: Additional 10% of the original purchase price.
- Two-Year Unlimited Mile Parts-Only Warranty: Additional 15% of the original purchase price.
- Three-Year Unlimited Mile Parts-Only Warranty: Additional 20% of the original purchase price.
Terms and Conditions for Drivetrain Components (i. e.: Engines, Transmissions, Transfer Case, Carriers, Drive Shafts, Axles)
- Professional Installation Required:
- Warranty is void if the part is not installed by a state licensed repair facility.
- All new seals and fluids must be installed at the time of installation.
- Proof of installation must be provided upon request.
- Maintenance Requirements:
- Regular maintenance, including oil changes and fluid replacements, must be performed and documented in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
- Labor Costs:
- Labor costs are not covered under the standard parts-only warranty.
- Customers may purchase optional labor coverage (see Labor Warranty section).
Optional Labor Warranty
Customers may purchase labor coverage for drivetrain components:
- Coverage Tiers:
- $100 covers up to $500 of labor costs.
- $200 covers up to $1,000 of labor costs.
- $300 covers up to $1,500 of labor costs.
- $400 covers up to $2,000 of labor costs.
- $500 covers up to $2,500 of labor costs.
- An additional $100 for every $500 of labor costs.
- Hourly Rate Reimbursement:
- Labor reimbursement is capped at $50/hour for certified installations.
- Eligible Repairs:
- Labor warranty applies to repairs directly related to the defective part.
- Repairs must be pre-approved by Parts Box Inc prior to commencement.
- Duration:
- Labor warranty is valid for the duration of the parts warranty.
General Conditions and Exclusions
- Warranty Activation:
- The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase as stated on the original invoice.
- Warranty Claims:
- Any warranty claim requires prior approval from Parts Box Inc.
- Defective parts must not be uninstalled until Parts Box has given approval. We may request documentation demonstrating that the part was installed while in its defective condition.
- Exclusions:
- This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by collisions, improper towing, accidents, or environmental factors.
- Towing, diagnostic fees, car rentals, or other incidental costs.
- Warranty does not cover misuse, racing applications, or improper installations, low fluid levels, abuse, overheating, or faulty electrical or computer devices.
- Unauthorized disassembly of parts voids the warranty
- Claims related to the overheating and/or improper lubrication are not covered by this warranty.
- External components such as but not limited to, water pumps, sensors, and wiring are not covered.
- Labor or installation costs unless covered under a purchased labor warranty.
- Cosmetic defects, normal wear and tear, and consumable items such as gaskets, seals, and fluids..
- Damage from external causes such as road debris, flooding, or extreme weather.
- Repairs made without prior authorization from Parts Box Inc.
- Electrical components or sensors.
- Use of incorrect or contaminated fluids and lubricants.
- Warranty is void if the vehicle is used commercially or in fleet operations without prior agreement.
- Warranty voided for parts not serviced according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Tires are not covered.
- This warranty does not cover:
- Customer Responsibilities:
- Maintain all required documentation, including proof of purchase and installation.
- Perform routine maintenance and follow the vehicle’s manufacturer guidelines.
- Remedies:
- At its discretion, Parts Box Inc may:
- Replace the defective part.
- Repair the defective part.
- Refund the purchase price of the part.
